A friend once said "Welcome to your Big Wonderful Life" as she sent me off to an adventure in Ecuador the summer of 2011. I now strive to always remember that my life is as big and wonderful as I make it. Here are some of my thoughts and adventures.

How to Avoid Drama (another long post about stupid things people do)
High school... If there were one word to describe it, many would choose the word drama. Many say it finds them and there is nothing they can do about it, some will admit that they walk right into it, and few have the ability of avoiding the stupid, childish, annoying quarrels of the teenage mind. The few fortunate ones that seem to have this avoiding ability do not really avoid it, they let it pass by. That is the key to staying out of drama. There will always be the crazies around you that are just asking for it, the cute boys that you wish would see you, the friends (who you're not really sure if they're really your friends), the plastic populars, and your best friends (the ones who will stand by you always but aren't afraid to tell you when you're about to do something incredibly stupid.) Obviously another part to staying out of drama befriending the last group, and not offending the others. This is much easier than people think. You just have to be nice, stop worrying, and don't give them anything to say about you. People aren't completely stupid and will know if they are making up lies, and anyone who doesn't, doesn't truly know you. Another thought, is to maybe lay off the whole official boyfriend thing. Boys are fun but why not just have real fun and go on lots of dates, have lots of friends, and stay out of drama. Remember it's just high school, it's not like you're getting married to these guys. If you don't already know this last tip then reading this entire long post was pointless, but Don't start it Yourself (duh). People in general have at least one flaw that will drive you nuts if you're looking for it. There's no need to get over excited about other's love lives, friendships, or when they're just having a no good, very bad day and say something most likely accidental. High school is high school there's not much you can do about things that have already been done and said, so get over it and move on. The sooner you do, the sooner you'll start having fun.
